Specialist camera couplers are available for connecting compatible C-mount cameras to a wide range of existing microscopes. Options can be selected according to the microscope interface, required magnification, field of view and camera sensor size.
Correctly matching the coupler to the camera sensor is important. An unsuitable adapter can produce excessive magnification, a restricted field of view or dark edges around the image.
C-mount lenses and extender lenses are also available for machine vision, inspection, measurement and other digital-imaging applications. Different focal lengths allow systems to be configured around the required field of view, working distance and level of detail.
