iStir HP 320a Analogue Hotplate Stirrer

Straightforward heating and magnetic stirring with a 10-litre capacity and temperatures up to 320°C

The iStir HP 320a is a compact analogue hotplate stirrer designed for laboratories requiring dependable heating and mixing without complicated digital programming.

Two independent rotary controls allow the stirring speed and plate temperature to be adjusted quickly and easily. The instrument provides heating from ambient temperature up to 320°C, together with variable stirring speeds from 500 to 2,200 RPM.

A powerful DC motor supports stirring volumes of up to 10 litres, while the chemically resistant ceramic-coated stainless-steel plate provides a durable working surface for routine laboratory heating and mixing.

Simple independent control.
Separate temperature and speed dials make the iStir HP 320a quick to set up and easy to operate for routine laboratory procedures.

Key Features

  • Combined heating and magnetic stirring in one compact benchtop instrument
  • Temperature range from ambient to 320°C
  • Variable stirring speed from 500 to 2,200 RPM
  • Maximum stirring capacity of 10 litres
  • Separate rotary controls for straightforward adjustment of temperature and speed
  • Powerful servo DC motor provides smooth and dependable stirring performance
  • Ceramic-coated stainless-steel plate provides good chemical and corrosion resistance
  • 140 mm working plate accommodates common laboratory vessels
  • Hotplate and power indicators provide clear visual operating status
  • Closed housing helps protect internal components from accidental spills
  • Non-slip rubber feet improve stability during higher-speed operation
  • Compact footprint is suitable for crowded benches, fume cupboards and cold rooms

Independent Heating and Stirring

Two clearly marked rotary controls allow the operator to adjust the plate temperature and stirring speed independently. Heating can therefore be used with or without stirring, while the stirring function can also be used without applying heat.

This uncomplicated control arrangement makes the instrument particularly suitable for routine procedures, shared laboratories and educational environments where quick setup and intuitive operation are important.

Durable Ceramic-Coated Working Surface

The 140 mm setup plate is manufactured from stainless steel with a chemically resistant ceramic coating. This provides a robust working surface with improved resistance to corrosion, staining and common laboratory chemicals.

The smooth surface is easy to wipe clean after use, while the enclosed instrument body helps prevent minor spills from reaching the internal components.
