Auckland Scientific Update · October 2026

Our first month in business

A busy start, new partnerships and our first orders from across the UK

Welcome to the first edition of our monthly newsletter. Auckland Scientific officially began operating on 14 September 2026 — and what a month it has been. Thank you to everyone who has welcomed us, shared an enquiry, placed an order or helped us get started.

Meeting the people behind the products

Michael has been out meeting our supplier partners and learning more about the products and support we can bring to customers. This month he visited the Euromex team in the Netherlands, the Nickel-Electro factory in Weston-super-Mare, met Mark Brereton from Camspec in Leeds, and visited Adam Equipment in Milton Keynes.

Visit to CoolLED

We also represent ImageProVision in the UK and Ireland for advanced image analysis and automated microscopy. Explore our brands and partners for more information. We pair this growing range with practical, independent advice and UK-based support.

Our first orders — from across the country

We have received our first customer orders, with enquiries and projects coming from up and down the country. It is encouraging to see customers putting their trust in a new independent business, and we look forward to supporting them with equipment, installation and after-sales help.

Out and about: our first exhibitions

We attended our first exhibitions and industry events, including the North East Automotive Expo and Scotland’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference. They were a valuable chance to meet people working in research, manufacturing, engineering and laboratories, and to introduce Auckland Scientific to new customers and partners.

New tools and a growing online shop

Michael has developed and published a collection of free interactive microscopy calculators and explorers to help with common setup and selection questions, including resolution, magnification, field of view, working distance and camera compatibility.

Our online shop now features more than 2,000 products, with many more additions to follow. We are continuing to expand the range across microscopy, imaging, laboratory equipment, consumables and scientific accessories.

Giving microscopes a second life

We have launched our Second Life Microscopes Scheme, helping suitable donated microscopes find a new home in local schools and colleges. Donated equipment is assessed and, where appropriate, prepared for educational use — supporting hands-on science while extending the useful life of equipment.

Training and technical support

Michael has completed a PAT Testing training course and has qualified to provide Euromex microscope service support for customers in the UK. These milestones strengthen the practical support we can offer alongside microscope sales, installation, servicing, calibration and training.

This week’s offer: wafer and PCB inspection

We have started our first weekly offer with the AUC-420 wafer and PCB inspection microscope. For a limited time, customers purchasing either model receive a free 5MP C-Mount digital camera. The offer runs until 5 November 2026; prices exclude VAT and terms apply.

We will publish a new offer each week, so keep an eye on the Auckland Scientific website.

Practical tips from our How To Guides

Our blog includes useful microscopy and laboratory guidance, with more articles being added over time.
