Bath Armor – An Alternative to Water
Bath Armor is a high-thermal-conductivity bead medium designed for compatible unstirred Clifton water baths.
The beads can replace water as the heat-transfer medium, helping reduce water use and removing the need to repeatedly fill and empty a conventional water bath.
Nickel Electro testing reports average running-cost savings of approximately 70% in selected Clifton bath configurations compared with using water, although actual savings depend on the bath, operating conditions and energy costs.
Bath Armor can also help reduce waterborne contamination risks and allows different sizes of tubes and bottles to remain supported within the bath.
