The Auckland Scientific AUC-232 series comprises reliable biological microscopes designed for education, medical training and routine laboratory observation. A carefully engineered optical and mechanical system provides clear specimen images, comfortable operation and dependable day-to-day performance.

Both models are supplied with a complete set of 4×, 10×, 40× and 100× achromatic objectives. The built-in 6V/20W halogen illuminator with fixed Köhler illumination provides even, controlled lighting across the specimen field.

Binocular or Trinocular?

AUC-232B Binocular

The binocular model is ideal when the microscope will primarily be used for direct visual examination. The twin eyepiece tubes provide comfortable observation during extended laboratory sessions.

AUC-232T Trinocular

The trinocular model adds a dedicated camera port, allowing a compatible microscope camera to be connected for specimen display, image capture, measurement and documentation. Camera and adapter are available separately.

Fixed Köhler Illumination

Köhler illumination is designed to provide a bright and evenly illuminated specimen field while reducing glare and unwanted optical artefacts. The AUC-232 uses a factory-aligned fixed Köhler system, providing the benefits of controlled laboratory illumination without requiring the user to perform a complete Köhler alignment each time the microscope is used.

The supplied blue filter can be placed in the illumination path to balance the warmer colour temperature of the halogen lamp and produce a more neutral viewing background.
