The Auckland Scientific AUC-236D series is a versatile range of biological microscopes designed for college education, medical training and routine laboratory study. Its high-quality infinity optical system, ergonomic controls and robust mechanical construction provide excellent image quality with straightforward operation.

Both configurations include high-eyepoint WF10×/20mm eyepieces and a complete set of 4×, 10×, 40× and 100× infinity plan-achromatic objectives. The trinocular AUC-236DT also includes an adjustable-focus 0.5× C-mount adapter for connecting a compatible microscope camera.

Infinity Plan Optical System

Infinity plan-achromatic objectives are designed to provide a flatter image across the field of view, helping keep both the centre and peripheral areas of the specimen in focus. The infinity-corrected optical system also provides greater flexibility for adding compatible optical accessories.

The supplied objective set covers routine scanning, low-power examination, high-power dry observation and 100× oil-immersion microscopy.

Ergonomic Viewing

The viewing head is inclined at 30° and can be rotated through 360°, allowing the microscope to be shared or positioned comfortably on the laboratory bench. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted from 48 to 75mm to suit different users.

The low-position coaxial stage and focusing controls allow the operator to adjust the specimen and focus without repeatedly changing hand position, reducing fatigue during extended observation.

AUC-236DT Trinocular Imaging

The AUC-236DT features a dedicated trinocular camera port with a light distribution ratio of approximately 20% to the eyepieces and 80% to the trinocular port. This directs the majority of available light towards the connected camera for bright digital image capture.

An adjustable-focus 0.5× C-mount adapter is included with the AUC-236DT. A compatible C-mount microscope camera is required and is available separately.
