The Auckland Scientific AUC-236F series comprises infinity optical LED fluorescence microscopes designed for medical laboratories, education, life-science research and routine fluorescence examination.
The six-position fluorescence turret accommodates multiple filter cubes, allowing different fluorescence channels to be selected without repeatedly removing and replacing filter blocks. Choose a standard B/G configuration or the extended UV/V/B/G configuration.
Binocular and trinocular viewing-head options are available. Trinocular variants include an adjustable-focus 0.5× C-mount adapter for connecting a compatible microscope camera.

Six-Position Fluorescence Turret
The fluorescence attachment incorporates a six-position disc for filter cubes. This allows several fluorescence channels to remain installed and ready for use, reducing the need to handle or exchange filter blocks during examination.
The B/G configuration is supplied for blue and green excitation. The extended UV/V/B/G configuration adds ultraviolet and violet excitation for applications requiring a broader range of fluorophores.
Fluorescence Filter Specifications
| Fluorescence channel | Excitation wavelength | Dichroic mirror | Barrier filter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue excitation | 420–490nm | 505nm | 520nm |
| Green excitation | 500–550nm | 575nm | 590nm |
| Ultraviolet excitation | 330–380nm | 400nm | 435nm |
| Violet excitation | 380–420nm | 430nm | 460nm |
Configuration note: Blue and Green fluorescence channels are supplied with B/G variants. Ultraviolet and Violet channels are additionally supplied with UV/V/B/G variants.
Infinity Plan Optical System
Infinity plan-achromatic objectives provide a flatter, more consistently focused image across the field of view. This is particularly valuable in fluorescence microscopy, where uniform specimen detail and accurate imaging across the camera sensor are important.
| Objective | Type | Total magnification |
|---|---|---|
| 4× | Infinity plan-achromatic | 40× |
| 10× | Infinity plan-achromatic | 100× |
| 40× | Infinity plan-achromatic, spring-loaded | 400× |
| 100× | Infinity plan-achromatic, spring-loaded oil immersion | 1000× |
Trinocular Imaging
AUC-236FT trinocular configurations provide a dedicated camera port with a light distribution ratio of approximately 20% to the eyepieces and 80% to the trinocular port.
An adjustable-focus 0.5× C-mount adapter is included with both trinocular variants. A compatible C-mount microscope camera is required and is available separately.
