The Auckland Scientific AUC-236F2-TB is a specialist LED fluorescence biological microscope configured for the examination of Auramine-stained specimens used in tuberculosis screening.

It combines an infinity-corrected plan optical system with a dedicated Auramine Longpass fluorescence unit and a high-performance 40× infinity plan semi-apochromatic fluorescence objective designed for TB applications.

Long-life LED fluorescence illumination provides immediate operation, low heat output and no lamp warm-up or cool-down period. Binocular and trinocular configurations are available, allowing the system to be selected for direct visual examination or fluorescence image capture.

Designed for Auramine fluorescence: The dedicated Longpass fluorescence configuration is intended for the examination of Auramine-stained specimens. Users are responsible for validating the complete staining, imaging and diagnostic workflow in accordance with their laboratory procedures.
