A safer alternative to mercury and metal-halide lamps
The CoolLED pE-300lite provides intense, stable and repeatable LED illumination across the excitation bands of commonly used fluorophores, from DAPI through to Cy5. Instant operation eliminates warm-up and cool-down periods, while precise irradiance control helps protect sensitive samples.
Designed for Everyday Fluorescence Microscopy
The pE-300lite is an accessible white-light fluorescence illumination system designed for hospital laboratories, clinical screening, teaching facilities and routine research microscopy.
Its broad spectral output supports popular fluorophores including DAPI, CFP, Aqua, FITC, YFP, TRITC, Texas Red, mCherry and Cy5. The remote control pod provides instant on/off operation and fine irradiance adjustment without mechanical shutters or neutral-density filters.

Select the Correct Configuration
| Configuration | Recommended When |
|---|---|
| Direct Fit | The illuminator can connect directly to the microscope. Direct fitting provides higher irradiance and avoids the ongoing replacement cost associated with liquid light guides. |
| Liquid Light Guide | The illumination source needs to be positioned remotely from the microscope, or the system is replacing an existing light-guide-coupled lamp. |
| Single-Band – SB | The microscope uses single-band filter sets, typically with DAPI excitation at approximately 365 nm. |
| Multi-Band – MB | The microscope uses a multi-band fluorescence filter set, typically with DAPI excitation at approximately 400 nm. |
