Four powerful LEDs deliver intense, controllable white-light illumination for routine and advanced fluorescence microscopy.

A modern replacement for mercury and metal-halide lamps

The CoolLED pE-400 combines four high-power LEDs to provide broad-spectrum white illumination from 365–635 nm. It supports popular fluorophores from DAPI through YFP to Cy5 while offering instant operation, precise irradiance control and rapid camera synchronisation.

Efficient Fluorescence Screening and Imaging

The pE-400 is designed for routine fluorescence screening, widefield imaging, sample visualisation on confocal systems and experiments requiring stable broad-spectrum excitation.

Global irradiance can be adjusted in 1% steps, allowing the lowest suitable excitation level to be selected for each sample. Combined with fast TTL triggering, this limits exposure to acquisition periods and helps reduce photobleaching and phototoxicity.

Direct-fit and liquid-light-guide configurations are available. The direct-fit version provides higher irradiance by coupling directly to the microscope, while light-guide delivery allows the source to be positioned remotely.
