Digital imaging solutions for compatible binocular and trinocular Leica DMi1 inverted microscopes.
Important: This listing is for a digital imaging upgrade system only. The Leica DMi1 microscope shown in application images is not included. Auckland Scientific can supply a suitable microscope separately or configure a complete imaging system.
Choose the correct solution for your DMi1
Three configurations are available for compatible Leica DMi1 inverted microscopes. Options A and B are purpose-designed for binocular DMi1 microscopes, while Option C connects to a suitable trinocular DMi1 camera port.
The binocular configurations incorporate a professional 50:50 NPBS beam splitter and a 0.43× reduction lens. This preserves normal eyepiece observation while simultaneously directing the image to the camera.
The trinocular configuration uses the microscope’s dedicated camera port. It does not require the replacement beam-splitter assembly used by the binocular solutions.

Which configuration should I choose?
Choose Option A for a binocular DMi1 when you want to use an existing computer or display and require WiFi, USB, HDMI and network connectivity.
Choose Option B for a binocular DMi1 when you want a self-contained system with an integrated display and PC-free operation.
Choose Option C when your DMi1 has a suitable trinocular camera port and you want a self-contained smart-display system without replacing the binocular viewing assembly.

Trinocular specification: The manufacturer’s current DMi1 brochure identifies Option C but does not state its camera model, resolution, part number or required camera adapter. These details will be confirmed before quotation and supply.
Compatibility and ordering
Designed for compatible Leica DMi1 binocular and trinocular inverted microscopes. Please provide the exact microscope model, viewing-head configuration and photographs of the camera port when requesting a quotation.
Auckland Scientific will verify the microscope interface and confirm the required camera, optical adapter and installation components before supply.
