The 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor captures images at up to 2592 × 1944 pixels. HDMI video is 1080p; frame rate is up to 15 fps under optimal conditions. The camera uses 16-bit grayscale conversion and 24-bit colour rendering, with automatic or manual white balance. Standalone mode lets you connect directly to a TV, monitor or projector and control the camera using the supplied mouse.
Embedded controls include exposure and gain adjustments, white balance, RGB and colour controls, digital zoom, image flipping and grids. Save still images and video to the integrated SD card. A computer connection provides the ImageFocus Plus workflow; Euromex lists Windows support and Capture software for Mac.

The VC.3031 package includes a 0.45× C-mount objective, SD card, USB mouse, USB cable, stereo-microscope conversion adapters for 30 mm and 30.5 mm tubes, a calibration slide and 12 V power supply.
