The iStir 200L is an industrial-scale digital magnetic stirrer designed for dependable mixing of liquid volumes up to 200 litres. Its powerful brushless DC motor and microprocessor-controlled drive provide smooth, accurate and repeatable stirring without requiring a conventional overhead shaft and impeller.

With selectable acceleration rates, programmable direction-changing pulse operation and a timer extending to 99 hours and 59 minutes, the iStir 200L provides the control required for demanding laboratory, pilot-scale and production applications.

Powerful Non-Contact Mixing

The magnetic drive rotates a suitable stir bar inside the vessel without requiring a drive shaft to pass through the vessel opening. This can simplify cleaning, reduce maintenance and help minimise potential contamination of the material being mixed.

The iStir 200L is designed for suitable low-to-medium viscosity liquids. Actual performance will depend on the vessel dimensions, liquid characteristics, fill volume and magnetic stir-bar selection.

Selectable Acceleration Control

The operator can select from nine acceleration settings, with A1 providing the gentlest ramp-up and A9 the fastest. Gradual acceleration helps maintain magnetic coupling between the drive and stir bar while reducing splashing and sudden movement of the liquid or vessel.

Programmable Pulse Mixing

Pulse mode alternates the stirring direction between clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation. The pulse interval can be programmed between 30 and 300 seconds to help disrupt persistent flow patterns, reduce settling and produce more thorough mixing throughout a large vessel.

Extended and Unattended Operation

Mixing time can be programmed from one minute to 99 hours and 59 minutes, or the continuous mode can be selected for untimed operation. When enabled, the power-interruption mode retains the operating parameters and resumes the remaining programme when the electrical supply is restored.
