iStir Quattro Motorless Magnetic Stirrer

The iStir Quattro is a compact, four-position magnetic stirrer designed for laboratories that need to mix several samples simultaneously without occupying excessive bench space.

Advanced motorless magnetic-coil technology provides quiet, consistent and maintenance-free stirring across all four positions. With no conventional motor or moving drive components, the iStir Quattro avoids the mechanical wear commonly associated with traditional magnetic stirrers.

Each stirring position can accommodate up to 400 ml, providing a combined maximum capacity of 1,600 ml. Digital speed and timer controls, pulse mixing and microprocessor-controlled acceleration deliver accurate and repeatable performance for routine laboratory procedures.

Four evenly spaced stirring positions allow multiple solutions to be prepared under the same operating conditions. This improves laboratory efficiency and helps provide better consistency when processing sample batches, preparing reagents or running comparative experiments.

The instrument provides synchronous operation across all four positions, making it particularly valuable where consistent stirring speed and duration are required across a series of samples.

Speed can be adjusted from 15 to 1,200 RPM to suit different vessels, liquid volumes and viscosities. Microprocessor-controlled gradual acceleration reduces the risk of splashing and helps prevent the magnetic stir bars from losing coupling during start-up.

For samples that benefit from alternating flow patterns, pulse mode automatically changes the direction of rotation every 30 seconds. Timed operation can be set between 1 and 99 minutes, while continuous mode supports longer mixing procedures.
