iStir Uno Motorless Magnetic Stirrer

The iStir Uno is an innovative motorless magnetic stirrer designed for precise, quiet and dependable mixing in modern laboratories. With no conventional motor or moving mechanical components, it provides genuinely maintenance-free operation while occupying very little valuable bench space.

Measuring only 13.4 mm in thickness, the iStir Uno is exceptionally compact and can be used comfortably in space-restricted laboratories. Despite its low-profile design, it provides a variable speed range of 15 to 1,500 RPM and can mix volumes of up to 800 ml.

Digital speed and timer controls provide accurate, repeatable operation. Gradual acceleration helps prevent splashing and loss of the magnetic stir bar, while pulse mode periodically changes the stirring direction to improve mixing performance.

The iStir Uno uses microprocessor-controlled acceleration to increase the stirring speed gradually. This controlled start helps maintain reliable magnetic coupling between the instrument and stir bar, reducing the risk of splashing or disruption to the mixing process.

Speed can be adjusted from gentle low-speed stirring at 15 RPM through to rapid mixing at 1,500 RPM, allowing one compact instrument to support a broad range of laboratory procedures.

Pulse mode changes the direction of the stirring action to promote more effective circulation throughout the vessel. This is particularly useful for samples that are difficult to mix using continuous one-directional stirring alone.
