Fibre-Optic Ring Illumination for the KL 300 LED
The SCHOTT 172.601 is a six-point fibre-optic ring light designed for use with the SCHOTT KL 300 LED cold-light source.
Six fibre-optic illumination points are positioned around the microscope objective, directing light towards the specimen from several directions rather than from a single source.
This provides more balanced incident illumination and can reduce the strong directional shadows produced by single-branch light guides while retaining the advantages of fibre-optic cold light.

KL 300 LED Light Source Required
The 172.601 is a passive fibre-optic ring light and does not contain its own light source.
It must be connected to a compatible SCHOTT KL 300 LED fibre-optic light source. A suitable microscope mounting adapter may also be required.
