Full-Spectrum Illumination for Colour-Critical Applications

The SCHOTT KL 1500 HAL is a professional fibre-optic halogen light source designed for applications where accurate colour rendering is particularly important.

Its 150 W halogen lamp provides a continuous spectral output with a Colour Rendering Index of CRI 100, making it particularly suitable for colour assessment, microscopy, documentation and inspection tasks where faithful colour reproduction is required.

The KL 1500 HAL can be combined with a wide range of SCHOTT fibre-optic light guides, allowing the illumination geometry to be changed to suit the specimen and application.

LED illumination is ideal for many routine applications, but halogen remains valuable where the natural spectral characteristics of the light source are important.

The KL 1500 HAL provides CRI 100, reproducing colours across the visible spectrum with excellent fidelity.

This makes it particularly useful for colour-critical inspection, material comparison, documentation and measurement.

Compatible fibre-optic light guides for the KL 1600 LED, KL 2500 LED and KL 1500 HAL use the same general connection system.

This allows suitable light guides to be used across these light sources where their individual specifications permit.

The KL 1500 HAL includes a two-position filter slider for compatible SCHOTT Ø28 mm optical filters.

Available options include blue, red, green and yellow colour filters together with a daylight filter.

Filters can be selected to modify spectral characteristics or improve visibility and contrast for particular specimens.

The KL 1500 HAL uses a replaceable 15 V / 150 W EFR halogen lamp.

Replacement lamp: SCHOTT P/N 153.000.

The KL 1500 HAL is supplied without a mains power cord unless one is specifically included in the selected configuration. For UK installations, use SCHOTT UK power cord P/N 400.053.
