High-output, digitally controllable LED cold-light illumination for advanced stereo microscopy, imaging and demanding industrial inspection.
Performance Leader in the SCHOTT KL Range
The SCHOTT KL 2500 LED is the highest-output LED fibre-optic light source in the SCHOTT KL range and is designed for demanding stereo microscopy and inspection applications.
With a maximum light output of up to 1,100 lm, it is particularly suited to applications requiring high illumination intensity, including high-magnification stereo microscopy.
In addition to conventional intensity control, the KL 2500 LED provides advanced features including extra-fine dimming, USB connectivity, electronic shutter control, LCD status display and optional footswitch operation.

The combination of the KL 2500 LED's high output and a suitable SCHOTT fibre-optic light guide provides significantly greater illumination intensity than many direct LED configurations.
SCHOTT specifically highlights the KL 2500 LED for intense illumination at stereo-microscope magnifications above approximately 30×.

Shared SCHOTT KL Light Guide System
Compatible light guides for the KL 1600 LED, KL 2500 LED and KL 1500 HAL use the same general connection system.
Suitable light guides can therefore be used across these KL light sources where their individual specifications allow.
Check Light Guide Compatibility
Light guides designed specifically for the KL 300 LED use a different connection and are not compatible with the KL 2500 LED.
Older KL 2500 LCD light guides also use different connections and should not be assumed to fit the KL 2500 LED.
Optical Filters
The KL 2500 LED includes a two-position filter slider for compatible SCHOTT Ø28 mm optical filters.
Filters can be used to modify illumination colour and spectral characteristics or improve visual contrast for particular specimens.
Available accessories include selected blue, red, green, yellow and halogen filters.

Power Cord Required
The KL 2500 LED light source is supplied without a mains power cord unless one is specifically included in the selected configuration. For UK installations, SCHOTT UK power cord P/N 400.053 is suitable.
