Focusing and optical filter accessories for controlling and optimising illumination from compatible SCHOTT KL fibre-optic light guides.

Focus and Modify Fibre-Optic Illumination

SCHOTT KL focusing lenses allow the light emerging from a compatible fibre-optic light guide to be concentrated and directed more precisely onto the specimen or inspection area.

Optional polarisation, halogen and daylight filters can then be combined with the appropriate focusing lens to further modify the illumination.

Separate options are available for light guides up to Ø5 mm and for Ø8 mm light guides.

Complete focusing-lens and colour-filter set for compatible fibre-optic light guides with a diameter of up to Ø5 mm.

A convenient option where both focusing and colour-filter capability are required.

Focusing lens for compatible SCHOTT fibre-optic light guides with a diameter of up to Ø5 mm.

This lens is also required when using the 158.205 polarisation filter set, 158.207 halogen filter or 158.211 daylight filter.

Dedicated focusing lens for compatible Ø8 mm fibre-optic light guides.

This lens is required when using the 158.206 polarisation filter.

Polarisation filter for compatible SCHOTT Ø8 mm light-guide configurations.

Requires SCHOTT focusing lens P/N 158.215.

Polarisation can be particularly useful when inspecting shiny or reflective specimen surfaces.

By controlling reflected light, polarisation can help reduce glare and improve the visibility of surface details that may otherwise be obscured by strong reflections.

The filters are not standalone focusing optics.

158.205, 158.207 and 158.211 require focusing lens 158.210.

158.206 requires focusing lens 158.215.

SCHOTT also offers the 158.341 focusing-lens holder with an M6 mounting thread for compatible mounting arrangements.

Mounting accessories can be supplied separately where required.
