SCHOTT VisiLED MC 1100 Complete LED Illumination Systems for Stereo Microscopy
SCHOTT VisiLED MC 1100 Complete LED Illumination Systems for Stereo Microscopy
Complete controllable LED ring-light systems combining a SCHOTT VisiLED illumination head with the MC 1100 controller, power supply and UK mains lead.
Modular LED Illumination for Stereo Microscopy
The SCHOTT VisiLED MC 1100 system combines a compatible VisiLED ring light with the MC 1100 controller to create a versatile incident-light system for stereo microscopy, imaging and industrial inspection.
Rather than purchasing the ring light, controller and power components separately, these configurations are supplied as complete UK systems with the appropriate controller, power supply and UK power cord included.
Choose the VisiLED illumination head according to your required working distance, microscope objective diameter and illumination technique.

Segmented Illumination Control
A major advantage of compatible VisiLED segmented ring lights is the ability to control the direction of illumination electronically.
Instead of physically moving a light source around the specimen, individual LED segments can be selected to change the direction from which the light reaches the sample.
This can make scratches, relief, edges and fine surface structures easier to detect and provides far greater flexibility than a conventional fixed ring light.
Use the complete ring for balanced general illumination.
Illuminate from selected directions to create surface contrast.
Adjust illumination direction to help manage reflections from shiny specimens.
Directional light can make scratches and small surface defects more visible.
Expand the System
SCHOTT offers a wide range of VisiLED accessories allowing the illumination to be adapted further to the specimen and microscope configuration.
Soften illumination and reduce harsh reflections or LED structure.
Reduce glare from reflective specimens and improve visibility of surface detail.
Convert compatible configurations for low-angle surface illumination.
SCHOTT P/N 400.031 provides an additional 2.5 m between controller and light head.
SCHOTT VisiLED Modular System
VisiLED is a modular illumination platform combining interchangeable controllers, ring lights, transmitted-light stages, darkfield components, diffusers, polarisation accessories and mounting hardware.

Typical Applications
Flexible brightfield illumination for three-dimensional specimens.
Examine manufactured components, surfaces and assemblies.
Controlled illumination for PCB, solder-joint and component inspection.
Directional illumination can reveal scratches and fine surface structures.
Stable LED illumination for microscope photography and documentation.
The UV + brightfield configuration supports selected fluorescence inspection requirements.
Technical Resources
SCHOTT VisiLED brochures, manuals and illumination resources are available through the Auckland Scientific Technical Resource Centre.
Auckland Scientific – Illumination Support
The correct VisiLED ring light depends on microscope objective diameter, working distance, specimen surface and the contrast effect required.
Tell us your microscope model and application and we can help select the most suitable MC 1100 system, mounting arrangement and illumination accessories.
Each complete system comprises the selected VisiLED light head, MC 1100 controller, controller power supply and UK power cord. Mounting brackets, diffusers, polarisation accessories and other optional components are supplied separately unless specifically included in the selected configuration. Product specifications are subject to manufacturer changes.
