The Clifton NE4-SB Universal Heated Thermostirrer provides a flexible solution for laboratories requiring controlled heating and water circulation without purchasing a dedicated complete water bath.

The unit is designed to fit onto a wide range of rectangular or circular tanks and vessels, making it particularly useful where existing laboratory vessels need to be converted into a controlled heated and stirred bath.

The NE4-SB uses a precision digital PID temperature controller to regulate the bath temperature while providing even water circulation and temperature stability.

Universal Tank Compatibility

The NE4-SB is designed to be fully compatible with a range of laboratory tanks and vessels, including rectangular and circular containers.

The double-clamp mounting system accommodates tanks with a maximum wall thickness of 40 mm. Suitable tank diameter is 30 cm or greater.

Digital PID Temperature Control

The NE4-SB incorporates a precision PID digital temperature controller with a bold LED display. The display shows the actual or set temperature with a resolution of 0.1°C.

The temperature range is ambient +5°C to 99°C, with a sensitivity of ±0.05°C.

Temperature and time settings can be retained in memory after the unit has been switched off, helping simplify repeated laboratory procedures.

Even Water Circulation

The integrated stirring system provides continuous water movement to support even temperature distribution and stable conditions throughout the working vessel.

This makes the NE4-SB particularly useful where temperature consistency is important across a larger volume of liquid.

Safety & Protection

Timer Function

The NE4-SB includes a variable timer from 00:01 to 99:59 hh:mm. A visual indicator and audible end message signal completion of the timed period.

This allows the unit to be used for both continuous temperature control and timed laboratory procedures.

Optional Cooling

For applications requiring temperatures below ambient, the optional Clifton DC1-300 Immersion Cooler can be used with the NE4-SB.

With the appropriate cooling arrangement, the system can provide temperature control from ambient down to approximately -20°C, subject to tank capacity and the recommended operating conditions.

Technical Specifications

Energy Efficiency

The manufacturer states an indicative energy consumption of approximately 0.5 kWh at 37°C. Actual consumption varies according to ambient temperature, ventilation, vessel configuration and loading.

For higher-temperature applications, the manufacturer recommends using a suitable lid or layer of polypropylene spheres to reduce evaporation, contamination and unnecessary heat loss.
