Precision Illumination for Optogenetics

The CoolLED pE-300opto combines three powerful LED channels with rapid triggering and individual irradiance control. It is designed for precise stimulation across a broad range of opsins in both ex vivo and in vivo experiments.

Blue 470 nm, green-yellow 550 nm and red 635 nm LED channels provide compatibility with commonly used opsins, including red-shifted options such as ChrimsonR. The system can also support fluorescence imaging with fluorophores including GFP, YFP, mCherry and Cy5.

Ex Vivo and In Vivo Applications

The standard liquid-light-guide output is suitable for ex vivo optogenetic stimulation under a microscope and for fluorescence imaging. An optional interchangeable fibre adaptor allows the same light source to be used for in vivo stimulation with a suitable SMA or FC fibre assembly.

Control Options

• Manual control: Instant channel selection and irradiance adjustment using the supplied Control Pod
• TTL control: Global and individual channel triggering through BNC connections
• Sequence Runner: Steps through a user-defined illumination sequence from a single TTL input
• Software control: USB-C integration with compatible third-party imaging software
