CoolLED pE-400max

Fast, flexible LED illumination with individual channel control, microsecond triggering and Sequence Runner automation.

Advanced control for multi-colour imaging and optogenetics

The CoolLED pE-400max combines four powerful, independently controlled LED channels with broad spectral coverage from approximately 365–635 nm. It supports popular fluorophores from DAPI through YFP to Cy5 and provides the speed and control required for demanding fluorescence, live-cell and optogenetics applications.

High-Speed Multi-Channel Illumination

Each of the four LED channels can be selected, triggered and adjusted independently, with any combination of channels operating simultaneously. Global and individual TTL inputs provide switching in less than 10 microseconds.

Optional inline excitation filter holders allow single-band excitation filters to be placed within the light source. When combined with an appropriate multi-band filter cube, this can remove the need for a mechanical filter wheel and its associated switching delays, vibration and cost.

Control is available through the manual control pod, compatible third-party imaging software and the CoolLED LightBridge graphical interface.

Sequence Runner Automation

Once an LED and irradiance sequence has been defined, Sequence Runner automatically cycles through the selected channels. Synchronisation is initiated through the global TTL input using a single TTL output from a camera or other device, providing high-speed automation without complex additional control hardware.

LightBridge Graphical Control

The CoolLED LightBridge graphical interface provides an additional level of control for the pE-400max, including:
