Imaging performance
The 1/2.8-inch 8 MP Sony CMOS EXMOR sensor captures still images at 3840 × 2160 pixels, while live view is 1920 × 1080. At optimal conditions, HDMI live view reaches 60 fps and USB reaches 26 fps. Video records in 1080p at 30 fps in MP4 using H.264 or H.265. Automatic or manual exposure and automatic, manual or region-of-interest white balance help adapt the image to the specimen and lighting.
Standalone or computer workflow
For standalone use, connect an HDMI display and control the menu with the supplied mouse. Embedded tools support capture, playback, measurement, image comparison and camera adjustments, saving to the supplied SD card. Connect to a computer for Euromex ImageFocus Alpha functions such as annotation and advanced measurement, stacking and stitching. Supported computer systems include Windows, Mac OS and Linux, with features varying by platform.
Connections and package
The HD-Pro has HDMI and USB-C interfaces, a C-mount mount, and a high-speed 32 GB SD card. The VC.3039 package includes a 0.37× objective with C-mount, 30 mm and 30.5 mm stereo-microscope adapters, power supply, SD card, USB-C cable, HDMI cable, mouse and calibration slide. The screen model adds the integrated 13-inch HD display.
Euromex describes the HD-Pro as suitable for its microscopes and most Zeiss, Leica, Olympus and Nikon models, subject to the correct camera adapter.
