Advanced Control of Up to Two VisiLED Light Heads

The SCHOTT VisiLED MC 1500 is the advanced controller within the VisiLED illumination platform, offering extensive control over light intensity, segment selection and illumination direction.

Unlike the single-channel MC 1100 controllers, the MC 1500 can control two compatible VisiLED illumination heads, allowing sophisticated combinations such as brightfield and darkfield or incident and transmitted illumination.

Auckland Scientific supplies these configurations as complete UK systems with the selected VisiLED light head, MC 1500 controller, power supply and UK mains lead.

The MC 1500 can control up to two compatible VisiLED light heads. Each standard system option on this page includes one selected light head. A second compatible light head can be added separately where a dual-illumination configuration is required.

The MC 1500 provides two independent VisiLED light-head connections, identified as channels A and B.

This allows two illumination heads to remain installed on the microscope while their settings are controlled through the same controller.

Each channel can have its own illumination intensity, segment pattern and illumination-direction settings, making the MC 1500 particularly useful for advanced contrast techniques.

Compatible segmented VisiLED ring lights allow sections of the illumination ring to be selected electronically.

Segment patterns can then be rotated around the specimen, changing the direction of incident illumination without mechanically repositioning the light head.

This is particularly useful for identifying scratches, relief, edges and directional surface structures.

The MC 1500 can store up to four illumination scenarios.

This is particularly useful in quality-control and imaging environments where the same illumination settings need to be reproduced for multiple specimens or operators.

Stored settings can reduce setup time and help improve consistency between inspection sessions.

The VisiLED system can combine ring lights, darkfield illumination, transmitted-light stages, controllers, diffusers, polarisation components and mounting accessories.

The MC 1500's two-channel capability makes it particularly suitable for building more sophisticated multi-illumination systems.
